Brisbane mentoring program brings multidisciplinary professionals together

Kittelson & Associate’s Brisbane office happened upon the opportunity to participate in Queensland University of Technology’s (QUT) Career Mentor Scheme when an environmental engineering student applied for Kittelson’s summer internship program. Though the firm’s service areas did not fit her career interests, she did ask Zach Clark—a Senior Engineer at Kittelson—to become her mentor. His experience with his mentee emphasizes the importance of professional development and sharing one’s knowledge with a younger generation of engineers and planners.

Congratulations to ITD's Excellence in Transportation Award Winners!

The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) annually presents Excellence in Transportation Awards to recognize exceptional achievements in the development, planning, and implementation of transportation projects throughout the state. This year’s awards were presented during the June ITD board meeting. The program included opening remarks from ITD Director Brian Ness and highlighted the collaboration between ITD staff, the ITD board, local agencies, and consultants to complete beneficial transportation projects.

2012 Interns Recap their Week in Baltimore and DC

KAI’s much anticipated, annual Intern Week started off with a blast: a two-run walk-off home run by Baltimore Orioles Catcher Taylor Teagarden in the bottom of the 13th inning – Go O’s! We never looked back. The excitement of the early arrivals’ first day in Charm City set the tone as KAI interns trickled one by one into downtown to spend July 16 to 20 in Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC learning about the past, present, and future of the transportation industry.
