Senior Planner Jane Lim-Yap Joins KAI

Kittelson & Associates, Inc. (KAI) is pleased to announce the addition of Jane Lim-Yap, AICP, PP, LEED AP to the team. As KAI's newest Senior Planner, Jane will be based in Orlando, Florida, while she continues to serve clients nationwide. She draws from broad experience and training in architecture, urban design, and transportation planning, in creating holistic solutions for a more livable and sustainable built environment. As an urban designer and transportation planner, Jane has over thirteen years of experience in helping various communities, cities, and state agencies develop successful plans for redeveloping urban and suburban corridors, town centers, and transit station areas. She is also involved in state-level policy initiatives to align transportation and land use planning and decisions. Her experience includes developing urban design and master plans, communications and presentation materials, and facilitating community outreach and design work sessions.
Jane has a proven track record of working with multidisciplinary teams to develop transportation and land use solutions that are community-driven, sustainable, and meet agency needs. She has served as a lead planner and researcher on such efforts as the Smart Transportation Initiative for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and FHWA's Livability Guidebook. Jane has also served key roles in corridor and area plans, including managing the Downtown Community Venues Master Plan in Orlando, Florida and as lead urban designer for a land-use and transportation plan for 30-miles of Route 9 in Ocean County, New Jersey. In addition, Jane has a passion for transit and station area planning having worked on such projects as the Northeast Corridor Draft EIS and Station Area Planning in Charlotte, North Carolina.
